Kingpinless Casters are some of the heaviest duty casters in the industry. What truly separates a standard caster and a Kingpinless Caster is the raceway. A Kingpinless casters raceway does not have a kingpin or nut and bolt which is what all standard swivel casters have to hold the raceways intact. A standard caster with a kingpin can wear over time and the nut and bolt / kingpin can become loose and eventually your ball bearings will fall out of the caster and you will no longer be able to swivel the caster. A Kingpinless Caster completely eliminates this issue. The Kingpinless does not use a nut and bolt to hold the raceway. Our Kingpinless casters have a fully enclosed raceway that is welded on the inside allowing the top plate and raceway to be integrally forged together allowing these casters to handle heavier loads and more abusive shock-load applications. Kinpinless Casters are extremely durable and are the perfect solution for many material handling needs. Kingpinless casters will save you money and time by providing a much longer lifespan in the field and preventing downtime from having to replace casters more often. Kingpinless Casters are made to handle more shock-load type of applications but they do have a limit and weight capacity that needs to be followed.

CasterHQ's Kingpinless Casters are Hot Forged ASTM1045 Steel with 3/8" HRC45 steel ball bearings to absorb thrust and load in severe caster applications. All of our Kingpinless Casters have double welded legs allowing more stability and overall strength to the casters legs. We typically see Kingpinless Casters used in many applications including, manufacturing plants, assembly plants, automotive plants, processing plants, waste industry, ground support, large warehouses, military, government, construction, and many more industrial fields that a standard caster cannot handle.

CasterHQ's Semi Steel Wheels also known as Gray Iron Wheels are fully metal wheels and are less expensive than Ductile Wheels. Semi Steel wheels are better for light to medium duty applications if used on smooth concrete floors and applications where they do not take any type of overloading, impacts, or abuse. On floors such as untreated concrete these wheels may cause the floors to decline and chip over time. Steel wheels are not meant to be used in applications with impact, shock, poor floors, floor obstacles or debris, overload, abuse, or any type of use with a automated powered towing system.
