3/8 Threaded Stem Casters

These 3/8-16 threaded stem casters fit light furniture, stands, and carts that use a 3/8 in threaded insert or tee nut. Casters in this collection range from about 80 to 100 lb per caster. Measure before you buy

Thread: 3/8-16 UNC (coarse). Not M10 metric and not 7/16 grip ring.
Length: from under the swivel to the tip. Must be shorter than the tapped hole or tee nut depth.
Brake: top lock or side lock stops the wheel; it is not a total lock on these light stems.

3/8 stem questions

Is 3/8-16 the same as a 7/16 stem?

No. 3/8-16 is a threaded stem. 7/16 is usually a smooth grip ring stem for chair sockets. They are not interchangeable.

Why do some pages say up to 350 lb for 3/8 stems?

That higher band belongs on broader threaded hubs with different SKUs. On this 3/8 child page, verified active ratings are 80 to 100 lb per caster.

Do I need a tee nut?
