Plate dimensions shown are overall mounting plate size.
When replacing existing casters, select the closest plate size and verify bolt-hole compatibility.
BHP = Bolt Hole Pattern, shown under each plate.

Kingpinless casters are the highest-duty swivel caster design used in industrial material handling. Standard swivel casters rely on a kingpin (nut and bolt) to retain the raceway. Under repeated shock loading and impacts, that kingpin can loosen or shear, leading to raceway separation, bearing loss, and eventual loss of swivel.
CasterHQ kingpinless casters eliminate the kingpin failure mode using an enclosed, welded raceway with an integrally hot-forged top plate and inner raceway. The result is a caster designed for severe service, higher impact tolerance, reduced downtime, and longer replacement intervals (when used within rated limits).
Engineering Guides
A kingpinless caster is a heavy-duty swivel caster that does not use a kingpin (nut and bolt) to retain the raceway. The raceway is enclosed and welded for durability under shock load.
Repeated impacts and side loads can loosen or shear the kingpin, which may lead to raceway separation and bearing loss, stopping swiveling and forcing replacement.
Up to 2,000 lbs per caster when used within rated limits and proper application guidelines.

Yes. Kingpinless designs are chosen specifically for shock-load and abusive service environments.
Less than standard swivel casters, but regular inspection and lubrication (where applicable) are recommended for maximum service life.

Swivel provides maneuverability; rigid improves tracking and load stability. Many carts use a mix depending on handling needs.
Kingpinless refers to swivel construction. In many heavy-duty industrial applications, kingpinless swivels are chosen because they handle shock loads and side impacts better than standard kingpin swivels.
Larger wheels typically roll over debris and floor transitions more easily, reducing shock to the swivel and lowering push effort on rough concrete routes.
