Unlike rigid gate wheels, spring-loaded gate wheels actively compensate for gate sag caused by weight or hinge wear, uneven ground, gravel, concrete transitions, and slopes, and seasonal ground movement and settling. The result is a gate that opens and closes smoothly with less strain on hinges, posts, and operators.
This caster is rated for up to 1,000 lbs per unit. For heavier gates, we recommend using two casters — one at each end of the gate.
