This Rigid Caster contains an 8 inch diameter by 2 inch tread width Gray Non Marking Rubber Wheel which provides a smooth and quiet ride meant to be used both outdoors and indoors all while absorbing shock and vibrations. These wheels have a crowned tread which helps roll much easier. This softer gray thermo-engineered rubber wheel does not mark the floors and provides a very quiet ride which will prevent guests from hearing the carts as they roll through the halls. This type of Caster/Wheel combination are great for replacement Casters for Bellman Carts, Luggage Carts, Housekeeping Carts, Laundry Carts, Bulk Carts, Mobile Storage Racks, Platform Trucks, and even Tool Carts which are also known as Tool Boxes or Tool Chests. This size is universal in the Hospitality industry and used worldwide in Hotels and Resorts on just a majority of different Carts. The wheel comes with high quality 3/4" roller Bearings but can be upgraded to a 1/2" sealed precision ball bearings which will provide an even easier and quieter ride. Like all Casters and Wheels routine maintenance by the hotels maintenance staff will help keep this caster performing like new. The wheels and raceway of the Casters come with zerk fittings also known as grease fittings so you can easily grease the bearings to keep the wheels rolling with minimal noise and maximum performance. If you upgrade the bearings to the sealed precision bearings you will not need to maintenance the bearings because they will be sealed. We do pre-grease all of our bearings prior to shipping.
